I not only enjoy playing video games, but I also enjoy making some. I used to teach how to make simple games to kids from grade 1 to grade 12. The tools I used were Scratch and Processing. I believe that programming is very fun and if it can be taught to kids from early through media they enjoy such as videogames, it will incraese the interest of programming to our new generation.
